Midlands specialist care provider acquires Educare Adolescent ...

Horizon Care-Care Industry News (250 x 167)Horizon Care, a leading Midlands-based provider of specialist care and education for children and young people with severe and complex needs has completed the strategic acquisition of Educare Adolescent Services.

Educare, which is also based in the Midlands, works closely with local authority commissioners to deliver high-quality care and education for children aged between 11 and 18 in attractive, homely residences located near to their family?s origin. Following the acquisition, Horizon Care comprises 34 homes and 7 schools. The investment adds to Horizon Care?s existing services in Staffordshire, Greater Manchester and Kent, provides a presence in Shropshire and Leicestershire, as well as introducing a new education service for children of primary school age.

Prior to the acquisition, both Horizon Care and Educare worked closely with local authority partners and these positive relationships will be further developed by the new group over the coming years to demonstrate to commissioners that positive outcomes for young people can be achieved and demonstrated, whilst reducing whole life costs for children and young people in the care system.
