Family Home and Life: Soft, Spreadable Butter

I love butter; I've never been a big fan of margarine. Butter is better for you than?margarine?too. Haven't you seen that email forward that's been going around for years or maybe the article on Facebook about the horrors of?margarine? No? Well check this out, or this. Ok, are you?convinced?butter is better?

There are a couple of problems with using butter however. Straight out of the fridge it's?

hard and not at all spreadable. It's also kind of expensive, and yes it is an animal fat and not as healthy as I would like it to be. But I have a solution to all those problems.?

Once it is incorporated well, pour and scoop your fresh batch of butter spread into a lidded container and?refrigerate where it will be ready when you want it.

Double or triple this batch and you will have plenty for a long time. You can buy the butter and olive oil spreads in the store and pay a lot of money for the?convenience. But why would you when this is so easy and takes only minutes to do it yourself??

* Not all olive oils are the same or have the same flavor. If you would like to know more, here is an informative link.
