Social clubs denied video gaming; struggle for business | WGN-TV

Social clubs around Aurora have been denied the use of video gaming machines.? The Illinois Gaming Board is excluding them because legislation in Springfield didn?t specify the clubs could operate them.

Some clubs now say they may be forced to shut down because they were counting on the revenue to make ends meet.

The Luxembourg Club says the machines add up to about 30% of their revenue.? There are about 20 social clubs in Aurora alone.

State Representative Linda Chapa LaVia plans to take up the issue in Springfield but it may take some time to get a solution.
