Red Bucket Equine Rescue #159-Hobby

Hobby is a reminder to us all?.unwanted horses come in all shapes and sizes. We are reminded 92% of all horses going to slaughter are perfectly sound?show horses, family pets, race horses,?.wild horses. We are reminded that ?rescue? horses are merely victims of circumstance. But perhaps most profoundly, we are reminded that times have changed, and that society no longer values horses. We consider Hobby to be a very lucky example of owners who wanted the protection of a Red Bucket contract to ensure that a second chance came with a guarantee, it
does. Hobby has come to us without the baggage of having been beaten or starved, he knows what a full tummy and dry stall feel like. Fortunately, we are also reminded that their are many?horse owners who are responsible and love their animals. Hobby is learning our program quickly,he is neighbors to Haze, and is relishing the fact that treats, affection, and the abundance of attention can come ?just because?. We are grateful for all the responsible owners, and we are humbled to continue to serve our community, and the horse that we love. Welcome Hobby!
